Day 2: Hike to Sivri Peak – Panoramic Vistas & Ancient Ruins

As the morning sun rises over Lake Eğirdir, you start your day with a hearty breakfast before setting off on a short transfer to Akpınar Village, where today’s adventure awaits.

The trail ascends through rugged mountain terrain toward the ancient ruins of Prostanna, a once-thriving Pisidian city situated on the slopes. As you hike higher, the landscape opens up, revealing breathtaking panoramas of Lake Eğirdir, with its turquoise waters stretching endlessly below. eaching the summit of Sivri Peak (1,800 m) is a moment to savor. The trail leads through lush forests, rugged limestone ridges, and sprawling oak woodlands, where the scent of wild herbs lingers in the air. Along the way, you will encounter shepherds' huts and vast grazing lands, where cattle roam freely. If you're fortunate, you may catch a glimpse of wild horses moving gracefully across the open terrain. As the hike gently descends, the scenery transforms into serene orchards and fertile fields, signaling your arrival in Serpil, a quaint village where life moves at a slower pace. The path gradually ascends toward the ancient city of Adada, a hidden gem lost to time. Here, amidst the whispers of history, you can explore the ruins of three grand temples and Anatolia’s smallest ancient theater, which stand as remnants of a once-thriving Roman settlement. As you step onto a remarkably well-preserved Roman road, you follow in the footsteps of travelers from centuries past—perhaps even St. Paul himself—descending toward the village of Sağrak. 

At the end of the hike, your transfer awaits for a short drive to Kasımlar, where the day concludes with a hearty dinner and a cozy stay, surrounded by the tranquil embrace of the mountains.

The air is crisp, filled with the fragrance of pine and earth, as you continue your journey toward Kasımlar.

Stepping onto the trail, you follow an ancient, beautifully paved path that winds through dense, shadowy forests and surreal rock formations sculpted by time and the elements. The air is crisp and filled with the scent of pine, while the quiet rhythm of nature accompanies your every step. As you emerge from the wilderness, the ruins of Selge, an ancient city that once flourished under Roman rule, unfold before you. Perched dramatically on the hillsides, Selge tells its story through the crumbling remains of houses, towering public buildings, and a colossal theater, where echoes of long-forgotten performances still seem to linger in the air.
